  1. Parent Programming                                      Dani Marinucci
    Reservations encouraged for both programs
    Feb. 27:  Safe Teen Dating:  Parent info program about the risks associated with dating and how to discuss with your son/daughter.
    The WHS PTSA has also been contacted in hopes that they can coordinate a program for the students.  WHS Principal, Tim Freeman, reported that a program for upper class girls with info for safe relationships, campus safety, etc will be offered in the Spring, as well as a program for upper class boys. Details are still being worked out, more info to follow when available.
    May 1: Campaign Against Underage Drinking
    Dani shared talking points of May Campaign, we received buy in from the WHS principal.
    Tony Hoty video tape mock car, Martha to check into this
    Suggestion made by Karen to include Kevin Piazza’s fact cards in report cards, Lynda to follow-up
    Overall programming goal is to expand our reach, we are striving for quality programs and welcome feedback.

  1. Community  Outreach                                               

Sears Grand Christmas Tree:  Congratulations to LBMS PTA, $5000 winner

Plan to auction the WPC tree on Ebay or WHS events next Fall 2007/Need Tree Committee.  Thank you to Leslie and Johanne for their donation of time and decoroations.

Behind on our Support Drive goal.
We are NOT planning a Rummage Sale and are relying on Support Drive and Grants
WHS PTSA is looking to donate, Dani to put some info together re needs for May Campaign
WPC books have been audited/ Martha suggests we have an audit group, need to establish this for next year.

4.   WPC and the PPWN                                                  Dani Marinucci
      Karen Salamon, Community Challenge, shared info re Yes, Your Teen is Crazy author Michael Bradley, he will be speaking on Wed, March 28, $5 donation, 7-9pm, Fairview HS, Professionals 9:30-12:30, Fairview Library, advanced reservations preferred, details will follow.

Community Challenge has expanded programming.

 

WPC to have table at Incoming Freshman parent night, Jan 25.
