Working with SADD students/dignitary

 

The WPC will:

1.       section off an area for adults to occupy in the stands and direct adults to seating area

2.       Inform Tim Freeman & Kathy McGinty on how many chairs to set out for dignitaries (Mayor, Police and Fire Chief…)

3.       ensure dignitaries are aware of procedures; delivering proclamation prior to start of event and speaking process and time limits

4.       deliver more posters to SADD for distribution around town

 

Kathy McGinty will:

  1. include SADD contract for life with April 17 parent mailing

 

Tim Freeman will

  1. introduce the dignitaries
  2. invite parents in mock crash attendance to the WPC evening program

 

SADD will

  1. Write crash script to include drunk drivers coming from parent-supplied/condoned alcohol party
  2. Hand out contract for life to parent’s in attendance
  3. help distribute merchant posters around town

 

The Facts on Social Hosting and Teenagers           

Q and A Mailer, estimate from second printer is ½ the price, still maintains quality.  Allows us to use LH money to reach more people

Note:  Guests didn’t seem to want to leave, need to continue to have “Live” programs.

Suggestion made that this info needs to get to the WHS students, hopeful that a parent will take this on with the WHS personnel, WPC will support this. Suggestion made to include this in WHS Wellness Day 2008

Presented to the Chamber on March 13th, Dani outlined our May effort, many org. took fact cards and posters, thank you!
FFL contact

We were contacted by First Federal of Lakewood, they were interested in supporting our May Campaign, we are still exploring this partnership with them.

WPC to Donate $50 to afterprom/grad, class of 2007

Paying insurance, ½ to be paid by WPC, ½ by PPWN

Decision made to  NOT do community mailing of programs in Sept. rather, programs will be promoted via postcards, PTA newsletters, and blast, feedback from participants has indicated this is how they hear about our programs.

 

4.   WPC and the PPWN                                                              Dani Marinucci
      PPWN Advisory board is being compiled, a list of experts that all member organizations can access via a  PPWN “point” person to be named.  More info to come.

Find an expert and let them set it up, we put it online and publicize it, we can record our hits to that specific page..

Live program and Virtual program run in parallel initially.  Eventually, we separate the two.
