As a school district, Westlake City Schools are committed to ensuring resources are in place for students who are in crisis or are experiencing difficulties of any kind. At the same time, the district is asking parents to support these efforts. Discussions about bullying, safe behaviors and choices, violence, depression and suicide cannot occur in school alone. Your partnership is key in having open discussions with students about these difficult issues. Many resources are available for parents, including the Westlake Parent Connection, a community-based parent group that seeks to educate, communicate and network about tough issues confronting youths and parents in Westlake.
